Stasia Hansen (she/her) is a movement researcher committed to the East Bay, worker power, and building better policy for us now and for future generations. In her role as Policy & Research Director, Stasia analyzes data to support and guide EBASE campaigns, identifies power holders, and contributes to strategic planning.
She worked as a Senior Researcher at a national racial justice nonprofit focusing on corporate accountability campaigns and earning wins that limit the spread of racist pseudoscience. She also taught Kindergarten and 1st grade in Louisiana, which sparked her belief in the power of local policy to deeply impact people and communities.
Stasia earned her BA in Ethnomusicology at Reed College and her Ed.M in Education Policy and Management from the Harvard Graduate School of Education. In her free time, Stasia likes taking long walks and eating all the amazing food the East Bay has to offer. She grew up in Berkeley where she currently lives with her family.
