POLICY AND RESEARCH DIRECTOR

EBASE seeks an experienced and strategically inclined Policy and Research Director to oversee research and policy analysis and development to support EBASE’s local campaigns, coordinate EBASE’s positions and advocacy on statewide policy, and supervise research staff and interns. EBASE conducts research that exposes patterns of injustice and promotes solutions; that develops policies as solutions to these problems, and that supports the strategy and implementation of campaigns. The Policy and Research Director will partner with Campaign Teams to identify policy and research priorities to advance local campaigns and coordinate EBASE’s advocacy on statewide policy and connect EBASE’s statewide advocacy to local campaigns and issues. The Director will be responsible for maintaining up-to-date analysis and knowledge on policy debates relevant to EBASE’s work, including policies to improve job quality and access to good jobs, labor standards enforcement, tenant protections and housing justice, immigration protections, and local budget analysis to support defunding law enforcement and investing in community services.

CAMPAIGN COORDINATOR, OAKLAND

EBASE seeks a collaborative and strategically inclined Oakland Campaign Coordinator, to support deepening our organizational and individual bases of support for EBASE’s Oakland campaigns for equitable development, racial justice, worker rights and progressive budgets. This includes coordinating aspects of EBASE’s coalition-based campaigns, developing and implementing campaign strategies and actions; supporting partners’ basebuilding activities; and representing EBASE at coalitions and identifying opportunities for intersectional collaboration. The Coordinator will help develop and implement various campaign strategies, with a focus on engaging and activating ally organizations, community groups, and labor unions; developing digital organizing strategies; and coordinating actions and events.

CAMPAIGN COORDINATOR, CONTRA COSTA

EBASE seeks a collaborative and strategically inclined Contra Costa Campaign Coordinator to support deepening our organizational and individual bases of support for EBASE’s campaigns for housing justice, racial justice, immigrant rights and worker rights. This includes coordinating aspects of EBASE’s coalition-based campaigns, developing and implementing campaign strategies and actions; supporting basebuilding activities; and and representing EBASE at County-wide coalitions and identifying opportunities for intersectional collaboration. EBASE’s current campaigns primarily focus on winning tenant protections in Concord, in key cities and Countywide as a way of stabilizing housing for low wage workers. This role also involves working to build more inclusive democracy in the County and working to build the political power of working-class BIPOC communities.

CAMPAIGN COORDINATOR, WORKER RIGHTS

EBASE seeks a collaborative and strategically inclined Worker Rights Campaign Coordinator to coordinate campaigns and know your rights training, in support of worker rights and racial justice. This includes coordinating aspects of EBASE’s coalition-based campaigns; developing and implementing campaign strategies and actions; conducting know your rights trainings; and representing EBASE at coalitions and identifying opportunities for intersectional collaboration. The Coordinator will help develop and implement various campaign strategies, with a focus on engaging and activating ally organizations, community groups, and labor unions; developing and providing tailored know your rights trainings; and coordinating actions and events. EBASE’s current Worker Rights campaigns include Fair Labor Oakland focused on implementing and enforcing the City of Oakland’s robust labor standards laws such as minimum wage, paid sick leave, protections against sexual assault.

FAITH-ROOTED ORGANIZER, OAKLAND

The Faith-Rooted Organizer will work with the Director of the FAME Initiative and EBASE Oakland campaign staff to engage and organize faith leaders and communities in support of the Oakland campaigns. The Faith-Rooted Organizer will support EBASE’s campaigns and projects for workers’ rights, equitable development, moral budgets, immigrant rights, tenant protections, and economic and racial justice by building committees of faith leaders; collaborating with unions, workers, and community groups; and helping develop and execute faith-rooted strategies and tactics.
