Rachita serves as the Communications Manager at EBASE and is responsible for implementing various communication strategies to support EBASE’s campaigns in Oakland and Contra Costa County, along with overseeing digital organizing and communications tools to support administrative/organizational, faith-rooted organizing, and coalition-building work.
Rachita is passionate about working towards economic and racial justice in our communities and governments. She graduated from the University of California, Berkeley with a Bachelors in Political Science.
For three and half years, Rachita worked at Evolve California––a Bay Area community organization focused on educational equity and reform of California’s 40-year Proposition 13. Rachita served as Campaign Manager at Evolve and was responsible for volunteer and intern management. She also led Evolve’s communications outreach to thousands of California voters for the 2020 statewide Schools and Communities First (SCF) and Proposition 15 campaign.
In her time off, Rachita enjoys ice-cream, photography, interior design, traveling to new locations, and playing with her tortoiseshell cat named Marceline.
