Campaign Coordinator, Contra Costa

Kelly serves as the new Contra Costa Campaign Coordinator at EBASE. Growing up in the San Francisco Bay Area, Kelly was first introduced to community organizing as a student at Diablo Valley College where she fostered her passion for ethnic studies and social justice. Spending a majority of her adolescence in the Bay Area, Kelly has witnessed and experienced first hand the importance of housing justice and tenant protections within rapidly changing communities in Contra Costa County. With a background organizing in both Los Angeles and in the East Bay, Kelly is joining EBASE with a strong commitment to supporting tenant organizing and housing justice in Contra Costa.

As a recent graduate, Kelly’s past work has focused on coalition building, addressing gentrification in LA Chinatown, and supporting APIDA community organizations in Los Angeles and Oakland with their base building and research. Kelly holds a Master’s degree in Asian American Studies from UCLA, where her thesis focuses on ethnic studies programs and grassroots student organizing at California community colleges. Within her work at EBASE, Kelly’s experience as an organizer that grew up in Contra Costa informs her approach to critical community care while working as a campaign coordinator. In her free time, Kelly enjoys curating a good playlist, going to aquariums, and collecting gachapon trinkets!
