Development Manager
Gillian is a small person with a big personality. As Development Manager, she showcases EBASE’s pursuits and champions her amazing colleagues’ work to foundations and grassroots donors, acting as a grant writer and reporter, project manager, event planner, and cheerleader. Gillian brings manifold experience to this role, including in social entrepreneurship and arts nonprofits. In her most recent development role, she secured and managed multi-million dollar government and private foundation grants. A mixed-race, queer, first generation immigrant and college graduate, she is passionate about gender equity, work-life balance, LGBTQ+ rights, the Asian American experience, and all things carbs. She also helps run her dad’s business and is on the board of her community orchestra. Gillian—pronounced like gills on a fish—loves to read and write in both her personal and professional lives, and relishes a beautifully crafted sentence. Some of her many pursuits include dancing, cooking, gardening, practicing yoga, organizing by color, sewing, fostering cats, and reading memoirs.
